Juan Jesus is set to leave Roma, but it remains to be seen if the Brazilian will depart in January or June.
HellasNews.it reports Hellas Verona boss Ivan Jurić has requested that the club purchase a central defender in the upcoming winter transfer window and they are looking at potential options, including the former Inter man.
Verona executive Tony D’Amico has been trying to acquire Parma’s Riccardo Gagliolo, but he has been unsuccessful in his attempts so far. Should talks for the Italian continue to stall, the Venetian side could turn their attention to Juan Jesus.
The defender has played only a handful of matches this season and has asked the Giallorossi, who are willing to lose him for free, to sell him in January. Reportedly, one small issue that stands in his way on a potential move to Verona is his wage request.
However, a compromise could be found between the sides if Verona are willing to offer him a multi-year contract, which would allow the club to spread out his wages.
