Roma have officially abandoned their pursuit of Brazilian attacker Marcos Leonardo.
The capital club lost patience with Santos and have decided to focus on other transfer targets for the attack.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma withdrew from talks for Leonardo after Santos showed reluctance in selling the player this summer and declined the capital club’s latest bid.
Santos want to keep Leonardo at least until the end of the year.
There is a possibility that the Brazilian side might re-open negotiations for Leonardo ahead of the January window.
