Roma have given priority to the signing of Alvaro Morata.

The Spanish striker is currently in pole position to replace injured Tammy Abraham at the capital club.

In recent days, Roma made contact with the player’s entourage and Morata reportedly gave the club his availability this summer. The Spaniard is keen on returning to Serie A.

The main obstacle is currently represented by Atletico Madrid’s price-tag which ranges between €20-25 million.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are working to lower Atletico’s demands and reach an agreement for Morata’s transfer.

The Giallorossi are said to have agreed to terms with Morata for a long-term contract until 2027 worth €4.5 million per year plus €500,000 in bonuses.
