Roma are intent on making Renato Sanches an important piece of the puzzle despite numerous injuries hindered his time at the club so far.

The Portuguese midfielder joined Roma on loan from PSG in the summer and is yet to make any real impact on the Giallorossi side.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are not giving up just yet on him: the player is back at Mourinho’s disposal and ready to come off the bench, but the Special One’s staff are determined to further improve Sanches’s match fitness levels.

Roma are aiming to have Sanches start at least on one occasion in the coming weeks.
