Roma are at work to secure a deal for Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi – a long-time target for the Giallorossi who are seeking mid-season reinforcements for Jose Mourinho.
According to the latest report by Sky Sport, Roma are set to meet with Sassuolo representatives next week in order to find an agreement that would enable Frattesi to join the capital club in January.
The Giallorossi want to build a midfield consisting of Gini Wijnaldum, Davide Frattesi and either Bryan Cristante or Nemanja Matic.
There is growing optimism on both sides that the deal could be unlocked in the coming weeks.
