Roma are reportedly working to sign Georginio Wijnaldum from Paris Saint-Germain after the midfielder was recently cut by the French giants. The player’s entourage have been shopping him around Europe, with Roma being listed as one of the favorites to land the 31-year-old.
According to calciomercato.com, Wijnaldum is now a concrete possibility for the Giallorossi who – after completing the signing of Paulo Dybala – are looking to further strengthen Mourinho’s squad for the upcoming season.
The capital club are reportedly considering bringing Wijnaldum on loan with either an option or obligation inserted in the deal. The estimated price-tag is of around €20 million.
The main obstacle remains Wijnaldum’s exorbitant salary as the Dutchman earns over €9 million in wages. However, PSG are reportedly willing to cover half his salary, but insist on making his exit permanent.
