Roma are reportedly worried about losing Sardar Azmoun as the striker has been called up by his national team for the upcoming Asian Cup fixtures.

On Monday, the capital club received an official letter from the Iranian federation requesting Azmoun’s availability for international duty.

The Roma striker – currently on loan from Bayer Leverkusen – has been included in Iran’s preliminary squad list for the competition.

According to Il Tempo, the decision whether to let Azmoun go or keep him at Trigoria for the next weeks is entirely up to Jose Mourinho who will evaluate the situation along with the player in question.
