Roma are concerned about the condition of Sardar Azmoun.

The 29-year-old striker was recently injured while representing Iran in a match against Turkmenistan during the international break.

Azmoun went down right before half-time, visibly in pain and feeling discomfort in his leg muscle.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma – a primarily Daniele De Rossi – are very worried that this injury could mean an extensive stop for Azmoun.

The player is already on his way back to the Italian capital after requesting an immediate substitution in yesterday’s match.

The tests will reveal the extent of the injury: Roma are afraid Azmoun could miss around a month of action. In these cases the club must hope that it is a muscle strain that can be absorbed within about ten days.
