Roma have yet to receive any information from Chris Smalling’s entourage regarding his future at the club.
The Englishman is set to become a free agent unless he chooses to sign an extension with Roma who have made him a proposal for a long-term deal in recent weeks.
As reported by Il Messaggero, talks are currently on hold as Roma wait for Smalling’s agent – James Featherstone – to respond to their original offer.
In the meantime, Inter have already contacted Featherstone as they are interested in replacing Milan Skriniar with the ex-Man United man.
