Roma Primavera captain Filippo Tripi will soon have an important decision to make regarding his future as the youth player is bound to leave the Primavera squad this coming summer.
Similarly to his fellow teammates, Tripi is expected to take part in Roma’s preseason training camp starting in July.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Primavera captain wants to follow in Nicola Zalewski’s footsteps and maintain his place with the senior squad, waiting for the right opportunity to come along.
Jose Mourinho called him up ten times throughout the past season, but the 20-year-old never stepped on the pitch in any official outing.
Ultimately, the Special One will be responsible for determining Tripi’s near future. A decision will be made once Roma will travel to Portugal for the second phase of preseason.
