Roma’s Amadou Diawara tests positive for COVID-19

Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara has announced on Instagram that he has tested positive for COVID-19 following his national team duty with Guinea.

“Hi everyone, this evening I took a Coronavirus test after having returned from national team duty and, unfortunately, it came back positive,” revealed Diawara.

”I want everyone to know that, luckily, I feel fine but obviously I’ll undergo and respect a quarantine period.”

“I hope I can return to the disposal of the manager as soon as possible.”

Diawara marks the fifth senior player at Roma to test positive for the virus after Bruno Peres, Carles Perez, Justin Kluivert, and Antonio Mirante.
