Roma’s interest in Lens defender Kevin Danso has been confirmed in Alfredo Pedulla’s latest report.

In the final days of the transfer window, Roma are evaluating new signings to strengthen the defence, currently reduced to the bare bones with only Gianluca Mancini, Evan Ndicka and Chris Smalling available.

Kevin Danso has emerged as a concrete target for the Giallorossi, especially after Atalanta’s change of direction, who decided to focus on Rodrigo Becao instead.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, Atalanta, initially interested in Danso, have turned to Becao, who is now close to a loan transfer to the Bergamaschi.

This development leaves the field open for Roma to make a bid for the Austrian defender.

However, to snatch Danso from the French club, Roma will have to submit an offer of at least 20 million euros.

Negotiations are underway, with Daniele De Rossi hoping to complete the defensive department before the transfer window closes.
