Roma are said to be working with an extremely limited budget in the January window.
The capital club are once again forced to operate within very constrained parameters set up by UEFA’s Financial Fair Play and the Settlement Agreement.
As reported in today’s edition of Il Messaggero, Roma will not be in a position to make any permanent deals in the upcoming transfer window. The capital club will only be allowed to sign players on loan.
The loans themselves will need to be very low-cost, as the newspaper claims Roma have only €1.5 million at their current disposal. That is the Giallorossi’s entire budget for the time being.
The club’s initial plan to sign a young defender and a top prospect for the future is out of discussion as a result of these parameters.
