Roma will have to do without Matias Vina for the remainder of the international break after the Uruguayan fullback proved to be a reliable option in Mourinho’s defence while replacing the likes of Gianluca Mancini in the Giallorossi’s starting line-up in the Europa League.
Vina – who hasn’t had the easiest time adapting to European football – has now been officially called up by his national team for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
Uruguay manager Diego Alonso will be relying on him, ex-Juve man Martin Caceres, Napoli’s Olivera and Guillermo Varela as the primary fullbacks for the world competition.
