Roma’s opening of the season marks worst start since 1995/96

Roma’s negative start to the new season is one for the history books.

Following a 2-2 draw with Salernitana on opening day and two consecutive 2-1 defeats with Hellas Verona and Milan, Roma have only one point out of a potential nine.

According to Voce Giallorossa, that is the capital club’s worst start to the season since the 1995/96 campaign.

During that season, the late Carlo Mazzone led the Giallorossi in a 1-1 draw with Sampdoria, a 0-1 defeat to Atalanta and a 1-2 loss with Milan.
