Roma’s Tiago Pinto before the Europa League final: “All that matters are these 90 minutes.”

Roma general manager Tiago Pinto appeared briefly on DAZN before the Giallorossi kick-off against Sevilla in the Europa League final.

Asked to describe his emotions about playing in a European final for the second consecutive season, the Portuguese executive admitted tonight’s showdown is special.

“We’re just as excited as we were last season,” he began. “We’ve had an important journey in this competition, it’s been very tough.”

“We’re fully concentrated and eager to bring this trophy home. Dybala starting? It’s a sign that these players belong to the supporters, this city and these colors. We’ll see what he can do to give us a good result.”

“Does the future of the team depend on this game? Tonight is way too special of an opportunity to worry about the paths individuals will take. All that matters are these 90 minutes to bring home a trophy.”

Finally, “Mourinho’s future? His future is tonight and he’ll be seated on the bench with the team.”
