Eyebrows were raised this early this afternoon when Roma General Director, Tiago Pinto, was spotted at the same hotel as former Juve boss Max Allegri.
The Portuguese executive has been in Milan for the past two days to hold transfer talks for a number of Roma players and was later seen exiting the Hotel Principe di Savoia, the same hotel where Allegri had been spotted hours earlier.
When departing the hotel, Pinto was quick to dispel the notion that he met with Allegri, who has been heavily linked with Roma over recent weeks.
“I didn’t even know he was here,” he said to Italian journalist Pasquale Guarro.
Sky Sport was also quick to quash the whispers — they reported that Allegri’s presence at the hotel was merely a coincidence and that he was there having lunch with some of his friends in the football world.
