Roma executive Tiago Pinto expressed the club is extremely motivated ahead of kick-off tonight against Leicester City.
The Giallorossi host the Foxes in tonight’s return leg in the Conference League semifinals, with a chance to advance to the final on May 25th on the line.
“Tonight’s a night that we’ve worked towards all season,” Pinto told Sky Sport.
“It’s pleasing to come here tonight with a 50/50 chance to advance to the final. We’re happy but also very pumped up. It’s exceptional to see the stadium like this.”
He continue, “We want to advance to the final so we must play like it’s the most crucial game of the season.”
Finally, the Portuguese commented on Roma boss Jose Mourinho, who officially marked his first full year at the club yesterday.
“An evening like tonight’s is just one of the reasons we appointed Mourinho. We’re 100% certain he’s the right leader for this project,” he said.
“What he does on the pitch and what he’s done to unite the city and supporters is incredible. He’s the right person and leader to guide Roma to success.”
