RomaPress – Paused. On hold. Frozen.
There are several words that could be used to describe Roma’s current transfer market situation. Today, RomaPress spoke to a prominent Italian football agent about the situation at the capital club.
The agent, who spoke on the basis of anonymity, has clients at Roma and is currently representing a reported transfer target of the Giallorossi.
”Right now, Roma can’t close any deals. It’s nearly impossible because of the situation of Pallotta,” he said.
”There’s no money, even for agency commissions”.
Roma president James Pallotta has been in talks with Dan Friedkin for the sake of the club since October, but the COVID-19 situation prevented the closure of the deal.
The Bostonian recently rejected a fresh offer from Friedkin and there is growing pessimism that a deal will be found.
