Roma’s win over Feyenoord in last night’s penalty shoot-out proved to be of historic importance for the capital club.

In fact, last night’s victory is one for the ages as OptaPaolo reports that this was only the second successful penalty shoot-out in a UEFA competition for the club in their history.

The news portal informs that the last time Roma went through to the next round of a UEFA competition on penalties it was in 1982/83 when they beat IFK Norrköping in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Cup.
