Roma attacker Romelu Lukaku discussed how the team’s shocking defeat to Genoa provided Mourinho and his men with food for thought.
In his post-match interview with Roma TV in the aftermath of the Giallorossi’s victory over Frosinone last night, Lukaku said, “We spoke at length after Genoa. We told each other that it’s not possible to continue playing this way.”
“Many players spoke out because we care and want to improve,” he added.
“I don’t look at many statistics, I’m happy to score but in the end we have to do better as a team and move up in the standings. This is our objective.”
“The feeling with the fans is great. Before my arrival Nainggolan had spoken to me about the fans and I thank them because from day one they have shown me nothing but love.”
