His brace in last night’s win over Cagliari marked the best start for any new Roma player since Gabriel Omar Batistuta.
In an interview with Roma TV, the Belgian striker remarked, “We have shown that we are growing as a team and I am happy. I think the team and the coach are happy too. We have to continue like this.”
“I didn’t expect to start off so well here. I have to thank the coach, the staff, my teammates and the fans. From the first day I arrived at Roma I was committed to the cause. These goals are the result of the work of the whole team.”
