Roma attacker Romelu Lukaku put on a show for his national team in last night’s fixture versus Azerbaijan.

The Belgian striker was responsible for scoring four goals in 37 minutes – eventually coming off at half-time and being rested after a good day’s work.

In his post-match interview with the media gathered at full-time, Lukaku said, “The whole team gave a great performance today and we showed our qualities. It feels very good when you score four goals.”

“My substitution at half-time? I’ve been playing a lot for Roma in recent weeks and that is why the coach and I decided for me to come off at half-time. Today’s result must motivate us to continue playing this way,” he added.
