Romelu Lukaku has reportedly knocked on Roma’s doorstep.
The Belgian attacker is increasingly frustrated with his uncertain future as Inter and Juventus both withdrew from talks for him in recent weeks and Chelsea continue to exclude him from their project.
His lawyer, Sebastien Ledure, has approached Roma and Milan as Lukaku wants to return to Italy, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Roma are considering Lukaku as an alternative option to Duvan Zapata who is currently the favorite to reinforce the Giallorossi’s roster.
Talks with Atalanta, however, have proven more difficult than expected and therefore Roma are ready to inquire about the possibility of signing Lukaku on loan from Chelsea.
The costs involved in a deal for the Belgian striker would be very elevated and Chelsea would need to cover a large portion of the player’s salary which Roma cannot match for the time being.
