Romelu Lukaku reflects on his time at Roma: “Here you represent a city and its people.”

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku discussed his time in the Italian capital as his loan at Roma winds to an end.

In an interview with, Lukaku reflected on his relationship with his teammates and fans of the club.

“I have always been impressed by the Stadio Olimpico. When we enter the pitch to warm up and feel the support of the fans we have an extra incentive to do better. We know how much impact the team has on the fans, here you feel responsible for a city and its people.”

“My favorite goal at Roma? Roma 2-1 Lecce. Paulo [Dybala] delivered an excellent ball.”

“My teammates? They’re all nice, I get along well with everyone. Mancio and I always tease each other, we’re both bad guys. I get along well with everyone: Pellegrini, Dybala, Paredes, Aouar and Ndicka…”

“I was lucky to play in clubs with fans who were very attached to their team. In Rome it is something even more special, very beautiful to experience.”
