Roma attacker Romelu Lukaku discussed his move to the Italian capital during today’s press conference with Belgium.
The ex-Inter man was asked about the numerous rumors that had linked Lukaku with several teams in Italy over the course of the summer before committing himself to a last minute deal with Roma.
“You know I don’t like to skirt around a topic. I’ll speak in due time, but if I actually said how last summer went, everyone would be shocked,” Lukaku told reporters while on international duty.
“There were times when I really thought I might explode, five years ago I probably would have. Now I focused on what I do best: playing football. I worked hard all summer.”
Finally, Lukaku thanked former Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan: “I have to thank Nainggolan for putting me in touch with Roma.”
