Romelu Lukaku could end up on the bench for the first time since Daniele De Rossi’s arrival.

The Belgian striker is said to be fatigued after playing every match across the last several weeks and – following Roma’s recent victory over Feyenoord – De Rossi is seriously considering Lukaku a much needed rest.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku’s less-than-brilliant performance vs Feyenoord has prompted De Rossi and his staff to come up with a plan which involves Sardar Azmoun leading Roma’s attack.

The Iranian forward is the favorite to replace Lukaku in Roma’s starting formation versus Torino on Monday.
