Roma attacker Romelu Lukaku is highly questionable for this weekend’s fixture against Sassuolo.
The Belgian striker recently suffered pain in his hip – a chronic issue that he’s been dealing with over the past few months and which prevented him from joining the rest of the team in the return leg of the Europa League Round of 16 with Brighton.
According to Il Messaggero, Lukaku’s condition is yet to be assessed ahead of Roma-Sassuolo.
The striker will undergo one final fitness test to determine his eligibility for the match. However, Roma are unlikely to risk him.
Instead, Daniele De Rossi will probably opt to rely on Sardar Azmoun as Lukaku’s direct replacement on Sunday evening.
