Roma are in pursuit of Belgian attacker Romelu Lukaku who is looking to depart Chelsea before the transfer deadline.

In recent days, Roma made initial inquiries to assess the situation concerning Lukaku’s future: the player is still without a team after being excluded from Chelsea’s project.

Negotiations with Inter and Juventus over a permanent deal collapsed earlier in the summer leaving Lukaku with a handful of options in Saudi Arabia and Roma who are interested in acquiring an additional attacker.

According to Sky Calciomercato, Lukaku’s move to Roma – which would be a dream signing for the Giallorossi – is taking the shape over these last few hours as Chelsea have opened to the possibility of a loan.

Roma have opened talks with Chelsea after inquiring with Lukaku and his entourage.
