The Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, expressed his continuous support for Roma’s long-awaited stadium project.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gualtieri recently met with Roma CEO Lina Souloukou in order to continue to hold conversations regarding the project in Pietralata region.
Gualtieri is said to have stated, “I believe in the project. During the public debate, the strength of the project emerged, and its validity – a private investment in a major sports facility but with the aim of regenerating an entire area of the city; that of Pietralata, which is now a desert.”
“It is an operation not only for Roma, but also for the city,” he concluded.
