Ronaldo cites Mourinho among candidates for Brazil’s managerial vacancy

Andy Mattioli

Following Brazil’s elimination from the World Cup in Qatar, footballing legend Ronaldo was asked about his top candidates to take over the national team in light of Tite’s exit.

“I’d like to see someone like Guardiola, Ancelotti or Mourinho coach Brazil,” Ronaldo told Mundo Deportivo.

“But I’m not the one who will make the decision, so we’ll see what happens. These names have emerged in Brazil, but I don’t know if it’s true. I don’t see any problem with a foreign coach coaching Brazil,” he added.

“Against Croatia we weren’t able to waste time in extra time after the goal. We had to be smarter, it’s the only thing we needed to do in order to win,” he concluded.
