Rosella Sensi on De Rossi: “Today is a very sad day. Daniele represented something more than just a player”.

Ex-Roma president Rosella Sensi appeared on Radio 24 and discussed the departure of Daniele De Rossi from Roma. These are her words:

“Today is a very sad day and a very sad day as a supporter who loves Daniele De Rossi. It’s even more sad after you hear his words. Obviously this was a decision that would had to have been made, but I don’t think it had to at this moment. I think a small piece of Romanism will leave with Daneiele, which makes fans of the giallorossi a bit sad: there is something to be said about being born in Rome and playing for your team in your city. Obviously the club makes its decisions, but the most important players in the team aren’t just players: they represent something more for all supporters of the Giallorossi”.
