Roma are back in league play this evening following Thursday’s victory over Bodø/Glimt in the Conference League. The Giallorossi and Napoli face-off at 19.00 CET at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in round 33 of Serie A.
The stakes for tonight’s showdown are huge for both sides with José Mourinho’s side pushing for a top four finish. Meanwhile, Napoli can keep their Scudetto dreams alive with a victory over the capital club.
Mourinho is expected to field a similar formation that featured on Thursday evening at the Stadio Olimpico. Though, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Roger Ibañez are likely to be rested and replaced by Marash Kumbulla and Sergio Oliveira, respectively.
As for the Partenopei, Alex Meret will start in goal due to David Ospina still suffering from flu-like symptoms. Manager Luciano Spalletti included midfielder Fabian Ruiz in his list of call-ups despite the player still suffering from muscle discomfort. However, the Spaniard is expected to begin the match on the bench.
This is how each side is predicted to lineup at kick-off.
