Former Roma legend and Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller discussed the Giallorossi’s chances in this year’s edition of Europa League.
“I think Roma can win the Europa League,” Voller said in an interview with Rai Sport. “Although that would probably mean that they would have to beat my beloved Bayer Leverkusen.”
“Roma can win the competition, 100%. But are they favorites for the semi-final? At these levels there are no favorites,” he added.
“Roma have the same chances as Bayer Leverkusen. Watch out for Xabi Alonso, things are much better now for his team.”
