Ahead of Sunday’s Derby, Roma defender Antonio Rüdiger spoke to Sky Sport, here are the German’s words:
It could be Totti’s last Derby.
This is my first season in Rome and training with him is a huge honor. I have seen many pictures of the Derbies he has played, and thanks to those performances he has become a legend. To think that it may be his last derby is a bit sad, but life goes on.
You’ll be meeting a fellow German in Klose.
He scored so many goals during his time in Germany, but he also did with the national team. He’s a great striker but it will not be a challenge between me and him. I will also have to pay attention to other players like Candreva and Felipe Anderson.
Sunday?
It has been mostly the Roman players who have told me so much about the Derby, especially De Rossi, who helped me understand the importance of this match for the fans.
