Rüdiger features for the Primavera, scores a goal


Roma received good news today as Antonio Rüdiger took an important first step in his return from injury.

The German, who tore his ACL in June, featured for Alberto De Rossi’s Primavera side against Novara. On hand were Luciano Spalletti and his staff to observe Rüdiger in his season debut, as well as Ricky Massara, Federico Balzaretti, Kevin Strootman and Mario Rui.

Rüdiger manager to play for 83 minutes in the Primavera’s 4-0 victory and also scored a goal with a header from a corner kick.

Rüdiger is expected to feature in more matches for the Primavera in order to return to game speed before joining the first team.
