Rugani unlikely to join Roma

Following the news that talks for Dejan Lovren to Roma broke down, Tuttosport has reported that Daniele Rugani is also unlikely to join the Giallorossi. Reportedly, the defender was not given assurances from Roma that they would make his move permanent should he arrive on loan — something that he was looking for should he leave the Bianconeri. The Giallorossi wanted to bring Rugani on loan with option to buy with the option becoming an obligation to buy in the event they qualify for Champions League football. This request, however, did not satisfy Rugani, who did not want to potentially have to find a new accommodation next summer should Roma fail to qualify in the top four.
