Former Roma attacker Ruggiero Rizzitelli was asked about the importance of Paulo Dybala for Roma’s second half of the season.
Rizzitelli did not shy away from comparing Dybala’s impact to Francesco Totti’s in an interview La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He’s the kind of player that tips the balance, he’s essential to the team. I don’t want to seem blasphemous by comparing him to a legend like Totti but we are at a very similar level. He is a champion who has long been missing from Roma.”
“He may be the element capable of lighting a fire under Pellegrini, Zaniolo and Abraham who, so far, have played on an off. To be able to return to the Champions League you need the whole team to contribute.”
