Former Roma attacker Ruggiero Rizzitelli sounded confident in the Giallorossi’s chances of advancing to the next round of this year’s Europa League despite trailing 1-0 with Salzburg ahead of tonight’s return leg at the Stadio Olimpico.
“If I had to bet even just one euro, I would definitely bet on Roma, who are much stronger. And Mourinho’s team also showed it in the first leg, where the final result was against them, but the Giallorossi did much better in terms of play,” Rizzitelli told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Dybala, Pellegrini, Abraham… They are the ones who can make the difference, who can change the match with a simple touch. Even with a few physical problems, Dybala is one of those players who can always invent something for you, including on set-pieces. Pellegrini should be fine, while Abraham will have to see if he can play with the mask on, eye injuries are very annoying for a striker.”
“If Abraham were to remain out… well, then I hope that Belotti decides the team’s qualification: he is putting his heart into it, the people appreciate him for the sacrifice, but a goal would help him immensely. And in the last two games he also deserved it.”
