Former Roma player Ruggiero Rizzitelli has been one of the more vocal enthusiasts of Roma’s transfer window. Rizzitelli especially likes Tammy Abraham and Paulo Dybala’s up front to lead Roma’s attack and discussed in detail their potential in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I think it’s a fascinating duo,” he said. “I don’t want to make comparisons but I’m reminded of the golden years with Totti and Batistuta.”
“Last year we learned to know and appreciate Abraham, who is English and because of this we thought he would struggle in Italy, but he proved us wrong.”
“Meanwhile, we know Dybala very well, he just needs to get back to his top physical form. He’s got the potential to score 20-25 goals per season.”
“Roma haven’t had someone like him in the attack since their Scudetto-winning team.”
“I think Abraham-Dybala are only second to Lautaro-Lukaku. Those two already know each other and have shown what they can do.”
