Rui Patricio is ready to end his chapter at Roma after spending the last three seasons in the Italian capital.

The Portuguese veteran is set to become a free agent at the end of June.

Roma and Patricio did not pursue discussions regarding a new contract, thus allowing the goalkeeper to freely choose his next team after EURO 2024 with Portugal.

According to Sky Sport, Patricio – who did not travel with the team to Australia for Roma’s friendly with Milan scheduled on 31 May – already bid farewell to his teammates and the club’s staff.

His agent, Jorge Mendes, is already looking for his next team.

Over three seasons with the Giallorossi, Patricio 129 appearances across all competitions, contributing to Roma’s Conference League title in 2022. He was the club’s first signing of the Jose Mourinho era.
