Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio is projected to start in what would be his last game for Roma.
After a poor start to his third season in the Italian capital, the veteran shot-stopper was eventually replaced by Mile Svilar who overtook him in Daniele De Rossi’s hierarchy.
Over recent months, Svilar proved to be more than capable of replacing Rui Patricio in the starting eleven.
With his contract bound to expire in the next weeks, Patricio is said to be eyeing a last appearance from the start for Roma.
According to Corriere dello Sport, De Rossi could choose to have Patricio play starter minutes in tonight’s final Serie A matchday of the 23/24 season.
This would be deemed a proper send-off to the goal-keeper who joined in 2021 and helped lead the Giallorossi to a Conference League trophy the following year.
