Rui Patricio deemed ‘untouchable’ by José Mourinho

Roma shot-stopper Rui Patricio

Roma’s first summer signing is proving his worth and continues to demonstrate why The Special One insisted on bringing him to the Italian capital as soon as possible.

Rui Patricio, Corriere dello Sport reports, is Mourinho’s closest ally and a player he deems to be untouchable. So much so that Patricio has featured in every game for Roma so far this season: a total of 1710 minutes.

The shot-stopper is one of the leaders of the team and his experience does not go unnoticed in the national team: the 33-year-old has appeared in every game for Portugal between the September, October and November international breaks.

Mourinho has a strong bond with him, and values his qualities as a veteran. The Special One insists on Patricio being a key element for the success of the team going forward.
