Roma shot-stopper Rui Patricio returned the capital following the conclusion to his World Cup tournament with Portugal.
Despite not having featured in any of Portugal’s engagements in Qatar, Patricio is reportedly focused on picking up form in the upcoming second half of the season with Roma, claims Corriere dello Sport.
In his absence, Mile Svilar took over goal-keeping duties during Roma’s stay in Japan. However, Patricio is expected to have a guaranteed starting spot until the end of the season.
The ex-Wolves keeper has a contract until 2024 with the Giallorossi and – given recent transfer rumors linking Roma with Empoli goalie Guglielmo Vicario ahead of next season – it is up to Patricio to convince the club’s management to bet on him for one more year.
