After penning his three-year contract with Roma, Rui Patricio was initially supposed to leave Trigoria behind and resume his summer vacation, only to join the team in Portugal in two weeks for pre-season training camp.
However, according to Il Tempo, the Portuguese shot-stopper has decided to end his summer break in advance in order to be at Mourinho’s disposal as soon as possible. Thus, the player has decided to start team training immediately, with his first session under Mourinho’s watchful eye already scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
The 33-year-old arrives at Roma after three seasons at Wolverhampton. He was Mourinho’s first choice all along to replace the Spaniard Pau Lopez.
