Rui: “Roma? A dream.”

Mario Rui spoke to Il Corriere dello Sport and admitted his move to Roma is missing only an official announcement, here are his words:

Roma is a great opportunity in your career: can you say this?
Yes, it’s a beautiful opportunity, but let’s wait until it is official. I have known Spalletti for awhile during my time at Empoli, he often followed our training session when Sarri was there. It’s a dream.

You feel ready to make the jump?
I’ve spent three wonderful years with the Tuscan club. I had Sarri and Giampaolo and I had the opportunity with both to grow and improve. I can not help but thank them. In different ways, I learned more with these two managers than in my entire life. The seasons at Empoli were the most beautiful of my career.

Roma soon will be in the preliminaries of the Champions League; the season will start soon.
I think Roma can advance. Roma have shown to have great qualities. Behind them is the history of a great club, accustomed to big matches. And the Mister has great players available.

Are there players at Roma you know well?
Well, Paredes and Skorupski: who were my companions at Empoli. As a child, I admired Totti and De Rossi, they are two great champions at the international level.
