Ex-Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has accepted a role at Chinese conglomerate Suning as the new technical director of the two football clubs they own: Inter and Chinese Super League club Jiangsu.
Unveiled in a press conference, Sabatini noted: “I accepted this role with Suning and it’s an honor to be here. I can guarantee to you that this will be a personal mission. Inter and Suning Jiangsu must grow together. I will begin immediately with helping build the first team and youth sector of Jiangsu.”
Meanwhile, calciomercato.it have reported that with the hiring of Sabatini, Roma midfielder Gerson could join him at Chinese outfit Jiangsu. The Brazilian, who Roma paid €18 million for, has played sparingly this season and will almost undoubtedly leave in the summer.
