Corriere dello Sport has reported that former Roma and current Bologna director Walter Sabatini could make a return to the Giallorossi.
A potential reunion with the 65 year-old can be definitively ruled out with the current ownership group, but given that Roma remain for sale, he could rejoin when the club changes hands.
Reportedly, there are whispers that there was contact between Roma CEO Guido Fienga and Sabatini, in view of a possible change of ownership.
Both Sabatini and his former right hand man, Ricky Massara, who’s currently at Milan, are plausible candidates for the sporting director role at the club — not immediately, but in the near future.
