Sadiq hopes for Roma stay

Roma striker Sadiq Umar spent part of last season on loan at NEC Breda, where he enjoyed a successful spell as he scored 5 goals and notched 3 assists in 12 appearances for the Dutch side. In recent days, Sadiq has been linked with Scottish outfit Rangers, who recently appointed former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard as their new manager, however, the youngster spoke to and reiterated that while he’s honored by the links, he hopes to remain in giallorosso next season. These are his words:

”Few players of my age will say no to working with Gerrard. Rangers are also a team with tradition but for the moment I’m happy at Roma and hope to be a part of the team next season. For now that is my plan, maybe in the future I will get to work with Gerrard.”
