Sky Sport journalist Angelo Mangiante reported earlier today that Mohammed Salah flew to Liverpool and was just steps away from joining the Reds.
The player’a agent, though, has turned to his personal Twitter account to deny this.
RomaPress has also exclusively learned further details of the situation.
Franco Baldini, the right hand man of James Pallotta, has been leading negotiations on Roma’s behalf and is currently in Boston meeting with Pallotta and the rest of Roma’s hierarchy. On the table, Liverpool have offered nearly €5 million in wages, while the player currently earns €3 million.
Given Roma are in need to make a capital gain of roughly €30 milllion by 30 June, all parties appear keen to finish the operation.
